I’m starting to wonder if up until now my expectations of a lipstick have been too low. Until recently, I was happy with a great colour, glossy shine and staying-power. I didn’t feel let down with just one shade, or wish my lipstick could save me valuable handbag space. Well, that was then. Things are different now – I’ve discovered the new hardworking SpectraColour by Avon. For pretty much the price of just one lipstick, I now have seven colours to choose from – it’s such a great idea I’m not sure why it’s taken so long!

product-shot

The lipstick features a dark and light version of the shade. Twisting the dial at the bottom squeezes just the right amount of customised colour from the tube. Six colour options are available, including pink, nude, brown and lilac.

The application is easy, and the colour rich and glossy.

I’m really impressed with the colour range on offer. The variety of shades make this lipstick super-handy for handbags and office drawers.

So, with the average lipstick costing on average £7, I estimate I’ve saved around £39 with this nifty lippie.

SpectraColour is available from avonshop.co.uk If you’ve tried it, let me know your thoughts. And if anyone knows of any other multi-tasking great budget beauty buys, please share!

  1. Nice idea. Shame there’s no red option though.

  2. wow - thanks for letting us know; i’ve never seen this product marketed and had no idea it existed. Dead handy for travelling abroad too…

  3. Hi Lori,
Thanks, yes, I wonder why they didn’t go for a red option? Maybe it’s in the pipeline – I’ll keep an close eye on developments.

  4. Hi Jules, the product just came out last month, so perhaps they will give it a push soon - or maybe it sells itself?!

  5. In your top 5 I think you mean beautyrocket.co.uk and not beautyrocket.com. I’ve shopped at beautyrocket.co.uk to and they’re sooo cheap; bargains galore!!
